The Evil Within Will Star Freddy Krueger Actor Jackie Haley and Dexter’s Jennifer Carpenter

The Evil Within is one of 2014’s most horrifying games. Published by Bethesda, it’s gained a lot of attention over the past couple months, particularly after a recent gameplay demo lasting an entire hour was released. But there’s something else you should know about the game other than its scare factor.

The Evil Within will star both an accomplished actor and actress. Jackie Earle Haley will voice the default main character, Ruvik. He most recently played the role of Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare on Elm Street, and most notably played as Ronnie McGorvey in Little Children where he earned 10 Best Supporting Actor awards and was nominated for six others.

Jennifer Carpenter will play as a secondary main character, Juli Kidman, which is unlocked once The Evil Within‘s campaign is completed for the first time. She played the role of Debra Morgan in Dexter where she won a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress. She’s been in many other roles, including The Exorcism of Emily Rose, where she starred as the possessed Emily.
