Red Bull Battle Grounds Hits Final Stop in Detroit, Watch the Live Stream Now!

One of 2014’s biggest eSport series is now at its final destination where a single winner will become the last player to enter the Grand Finals. That event is Red Bull Battle Grounds, this time host in Detroit with StarCraft 2 as the star of the show.

Lasting from today until the 24th, 128 total players will compete head-to-head in a one-versus-one, ‘may the best player win’ style format. The best part is that all 128 players have been entered through open registration, meaning you’ll see several well-known players including David “Walshy” Walsh, Kim “viOLet” Dong, and Olivia “Livibee” Seeto, as well as people you’ve never heard of before. You may just be in for a surprise.

Here’s a look at the series to this point, which includes all of the big names (i.e. Bomber and PartinG), who will compete in next month’s Grand Final in Washington D.C.

There’s a lot of money on the line, too. There’s a $25,000 prize purse at this event alone, with the Grand Final not only adorning the winning player with a trophy worth being proud of, but $50,000. If you’d like to attend the Grand Finals in Washington D.C., tickets are now available online.

Although tickets are sold out of this weekend’s event in Detroit, a stream will be available throughout the weekend broadcasting all of the matches. It’s already live, with a commentator cast that includes Kevin “RotterdaM” van der kooi, Nathan “Nathanias” Fabrikant, Yoan “ToD” Merlo, and Alex “Axeltoss” Rodriguez. You can watch it below:
