Gamescom 2014: Over 6-Minutes of Direct 1080p Bloodborne Gameplay Published by Sony

You’ve seen the trailers, and now you get to see the gameplay. Sony has published a video on YouTube which includes more than six minutes of direct feed from the Gamescom Bloodborne demo. You know, the one that attendees were bragging about playing this past week? Well, it’s viewable in 1080p, and looks downright incredible.

Bloodborne is built within a different setting than the popular Souls games, but retains much of what makes that franchise so popular. Its enemies are ferocious, capable of dealing significant damage. Combat requires keen observation and good timing. Similarly, its setting is dark and uninviting. It’s the perfect playground for a bloodthirsty killer.

This demo is set toward the beginning of the game, shortly after the initial tutorial. It usually takes around 15 minutes to complete, but whoever was playing knew what he or she was doing. Basically, this is what the game looks like to play when you’re pretty good at it.

This is just about the best gameplay of Bloodborne you’ll see in the immediate future. It’s direct feed, so barring compression it appears as if you’re playing the game yourself. Hell, hold a DualShock 4 in your hand as you watch it and you can simulate playing this bloody awesome game. Check out the footage above, and let us know what you think.
