E3 2014: Planetside 2 Gets a PS4 “Coming Soon” Trailer

Planetside 2 is preparing for a release on PS4 in the next couple months. It’ll be on the E3 floor, and even has a new trailer to show for it.

This new trailer shows gameplay from the title, including its vast array of customizable vehicles, and teamwork-oriented gameplay. Check it out above.

Sony Online Entertainment released Planetside 2 on PC in 2012 to great reception. I’d argue that it’s by far and away the world’s best MMOFPS, with great gameplay mechanics and scale at a size the FPS genre has never seen before.

Its release on PS4 has been hotly anticipated, but delayed from an original “early 2014” window. The PC version has been extremely hardware demanding, resulting in many gamers being unable to play it. The PS4, however, will run it no problem at 1080p. This has helped in marketing the PS4 as a great alternative for PC gamers.

We expect to see a release date announcement for Planetside 2‘s PS4 version during Sony’s E3 Press Conference.
