VIDEO: World’s Luckiest Paper Airplane Throw Hits Player from Top of Stadium

Watching England play their unique, dull brand of football is often a chore, and this fan who attended the international squad's pre-World Cup 2014 friendly against Peru decided to entertain himself. The video footage of what happened next swiftly went viral.

During England's 3-0 victory against their opponents, the fan threw a paper airplane from the very top of Wembley Stadium. The paper airplane then proceeded to fly over the top of the thousands in attendance at the stadium, make its way to the pitch before poking one of the Peru players in the face. Queue an eruption of cheers from the supporters, and a more vibrant display of jubilation than was seen when England scored any of their goals.

The hilarious moment was not only captured on the phone of one of the thrower's friends, but it was also broadcast to a worldwide TV audience, with the once-in-a-moment lifetime being captured by one of the cameras surrounding the pitch.

While this moment likely won't be remembered by the player who was struck in the head by the rogue, flying paper, this is a story that this guy will be telling his grandchildren about. Well played, sir.
