Spotify Ranks Australia’s Most Streamed Artists Of All Time
Hugely popular music streaming service Spotify has released an interesting infographic detailing Australia’s significant use of the platform since its inception two years ago.
The factoids reveal how much the nation has consumed the Swedish subscription in the short period of time while also breaking down our most popular music choices.
Atop the list of most streamed artists is rising DJ and producer Flume, beating out recent popular releases from the likes of Eminem, Avicii, Daft Punk and home grown stars Vance Joy, Matt Corby, Bliss N Eso, and The Temper Trap. The honour for most streamed track goes to Lorde and last year’s hit ‘Royals’ while Vance Joy’s ‘Riptide’ was the most streamed local single.
Among the other interesting facts were the 27 million playlists Aussies have created in the two-year span, Victoria is considered the most “musically switched on state” and New South Wales the “most relaxed” while Triple J confirmed its influence as the most subscribed to service with nearly 150,000 followers.
