Pokémon Art Academy Coming to North America and Europe

Pokémon Art Academy will be coming to North America and Europe, following its announcement in Japan.

The Art Academy series has proven to be successful for Nintendo’s handheld devices, and the next installment in the series will capitalize on this popularity by injecting some Pokémon goodness into the mix.

The 3DS game will feature 40 unique lessons that will teach players how to draw a plethora of different Pokémon including Pikachu, Charizard, Oshawott and Torchic, with these illustrations then being available to upload to the Miiverse. They can also be shared using the 3DS’ SpotPass feature and through a wireless Internet connection.

Speaking of the game, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of sales & marketing Scott Moffitt said:“The Pokémon characters themselves are among the most endearing and enduring aspects of the Pokémon video games, with everyone having their own favorite.

Pokémon Art Academy lets fans deepen their connection with these iconic characters by providing detailed lessons teaching how to draw them on their Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo 2DS in a straightforward and enjoyable way.”

The game will be available on the 3DS and 2DS this fall.
