WildStar Open Beta Announced, Developer LiveStreams Planned for Thursday and Friday

WildStar‘s long-lived Closed Beta has come to a close after months of testing. The game has come a long way during that time, and now it’s ready to enter a new chapter in its life.

WildStar will enter Open Beta this week allowing anyone, for the first time ever, to log in and play. It’ll run from Thursday, May 8th to May 18th, meaning the days of weekend betas is over. Dissimilar to the Closed Beta process, the doors will be open a full ten days, giving you a chance to play to your schedule.

In regards to what’s going to be new in Open Beta, well, for one a whole lot of people will be in-game now that no beta key is required. Secondly, the level cap has been further increased to 30, unlocking new class abilities and content to explore (and test, too!).

For those itching for WildStar‘s release—welcome to the club—, Carbine Studios will be doing a LiveSteam on Twitch this Thursday, May 8th at 11:00AM PST. Several members of the development team will be online to show the latest from the development lab, as well as answer fan questions posted via a variety of social media including Facebook, Twitter, the official forums, and more.

It won’t end there, though. On Friday, May 9th at 11:00AM PST, team members will reconvene for a jam-packed six-hour LiveSteam to demonstrate and discuss WarPlots (40v40 PvP content), raids, and more.

If you’d like to join CraveOnline in Open Beta, we’ll be playing on the Nexus server as part of the Exile faction. See you online this Thursday!
