The iconic Atlanta rap duo let the news slip on their official website with the would-be headliners playing the festival’s opening night, July 25.
The post on the Outkast website has since been removed, but coincided with the band’s return to stage after a near decade-long hiatus. The pair were widely panned for their return performance at the Coachella festival opening weekend, however their go-around effort was a by all reports a return to the mean and included a number of old hits plus chart-toppers from the 10 million-copy selling Speakerboxxx/The Love Below.
The Outkast comeback tour will see Andre 3000 and Big Boi hit 40 international dates including headline sets at New York’s Governors Ball festival in June, Lollapalooza in Chicago in August and the Splendour friendly Fuji Rock.
The Splendour lineup will drop on Wednesday before hitting the North Byron Parklands for three massive dates in late July (25-27).
