Hideo Kojima is Assembling Fan Feedback for Metal Gear Solid 5 Improvements

Only a couple weeks ago Kojima Productions senior producer Ken Imaizumi personally requested feedback from Metal Gear fans following the release of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. His goal? To ensure that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is as extraordinary as possible. That feedback hasn’t been lost in the void.

Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has shared that the fan feedback is in the process of being collected and utilized during the final months of The Phantom Pain‘s development. He posted on Twitter:

We are collecting ur comments of GZ trying to tune TPP for providing more comfortable play. Getting better, hope you’ll like it. Should be.

He also emphasized the non-linear design of the game, sharing:

Primarily, game should be be interactive, differs every time u play, possible to replay repeatedly. I take that feel & replay value heavily in GZ.

Ground Zeroes was ridiculed by many for its short length. Despite this, fans (including myself) have invested five or more quality hours into the game. That said, it’s difficult to deny that it’s little more than a teaser for the full Metal Gear Solid V experience.

The Phantom Pain is unlikely to suffer from the same lack of content, with Kojima saying that it’s hundreds of times larger than Ground Zeroes. He even went as far as to say he’s worried that it may be “too big” for players to finish—a bit ridiculous, I might add.

For anyone who’s doubtful as to The Phantom Pain‘s quality, it’s worth trying out Ground Zeroes just to get a feel of how seamless the Fox Engine is. If The Phantom Pain is a lengthy version of Ground Zeroes with all the added tweaks that fans have been asking for, it may just be the biggest video game release of 2015.
