Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn PS4 Open Beta Details Announced

FFXIV: ARR‘s PS4 version will enter Open Beta on April 4th at 1:00 a.m PDT and end April 7th at 1:00 a.m PDT. Anyone who has signed up will be able to download the client and play, although the PS4’s latest update, v1.62, is required to launch the game.

Open Beta will be the first time live characters are accessible on PS4. If you already play FFXIV: ARR on PC, you’ll have full access to your character; no more running around as a low level to try out the PS4 version. Made better, all progress during the three day stress test will be carried over to the live servers.

Square Enix will be opening up three new servers which consist of Jenova (NA/EU), Zodiark (NA/EU), and Mana (JP).

FFXIV: ARR just received a massive patch in the form of 2.2 titled Through the Maelstrom. The update brought over a dozen new quests, dungeons, bosses, equipment, and more. You can read more about its offerings on the official site.
