Band Of Skulls Announce Australian Tour

Band Of Skulls are heading to Australia in June in support of a brand new album.

The rock trio out of Southampton are not far away from dropping their third album, Himalayan, after having secured some very positive Australian exposure with 2012’s Sweet Sour, which hit No.35 on the ARIA album chart thanks to the success of singles ‘The Devil Takes Care Of His Own’, ‘Sweet Sour’ and ‘Bruises’.

Himalayan is due at the end of March and was recorded with English producer Nick Launay, who has previously worked with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arcade Fire, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

Tickets to the Band Of Skulls Aussie tour will be available from Tuesday, February 18, however cheeky pre-sale tickets can be obtained by signing up to the Secret Sounds newsletter.

Friday, June 20 – Sydney (The Hi Fi)

Saturday, June 21 – Brisbane (The Hi Fi)

As exciting will be April’s visit from the latest creation from producer Paul Epworth- Glass Animals.

Glass Animals’ indie pop sound has some Alt-J and Vampire Weekend to it and the Oxford band are receiving a ton of love, and Triple J play, for their debut single ‘Psylla’.

Producer Epworth has worked has done big things in the past with Adele, Foster The People, Bloc Party and Florence & The Machine and appears to be onto another winner once again.

The four-piece will hit the Australian East Coast in April for three shows. Tickets go on sale on February 11.
