Microsoft Doesn’t Deny Halo 2 for Xbox One, Saving Reveals for Upcoming Event

Many Xbox One reveals were leaked last week, among them a Halo 2 Anniversary Edition. The prospect of one of Microsoft’s best first-party games in history being remade for its latest console is enough to make just about any Xbox One owner excited. But is it going to happen?

When asked by a fan whether or not Halo 2 Anniversary is real, Phil Spencer replied:

Never get tired of questions on what’s coming. Just can’t always answer as we need news at events. Halo 2 is a good game…

Microsoft typically shoots down rumors. Last week it did just that following the huge flood of leaks which included a new Xbox One model and a new Crackdown game in development.

Halo 2 turns 10 years old later this year. Also, Microsoft has said that a Halo game will release during 2014. With Halo 5 looking like a certain 2015 release, a Halo 2 Anniversary Edition is about as close to reality as an unannounced game can be.
