PS4 Jumps to 2.1 Million Units Sold Worldwide, Share Button Used 6.5 Million Times

Sony’s latest figures show that the PS4 is having great success during its first month on store shelves.

Sony has revealed that the PS4 is now in 2.1 million consumer homes across North America and Europe. Previously, it was announced that 1 million boxes were sold within 24 hours of its North America debut. This means that roughly 1.1 million units have moved in the two weeks following launch, with a European debut included in that time frame.

Additionally, the DualShock 4’s “Share” button has been used over 6.5 million times, meaning consumers are finding reason to utilize the new streaming and sharing options of the new PlayStation.

With successful launches in two major regions, the PS4 is on-point to becoming a successful gaming console of the next-gen.
