One Direction Sell More Albums Than Rest of Top 5 Chart COMBINED

So it seems that One Direction’s shelf life is still far from its expiration date, as data released by the UK Official Chart Company has revealed that the boyband’s new album, Midnight Memories, has been bought more times than all of the other LPs in the Top 5 chart combined.

Midnight Memories has sold a staggering 145,000 copies in its first three days on sale, beating Gary Barlow’s solo album Since I Saw You Last three copies to one. For those waiting for the inevitable Jonas Brothers-esque fall in fortunes for the floppy-haired quintet, you’ll likely be waiting a little while longer.

The band announced details of their North American tour this week, titled ‘Where We Are’, where they will be performing in 21 cities across the region.
