The Full List Of Aussie Bands At SXSW

A total of 17 Australian acts have made the cut for next year’s 28th annual SXSW festival in Austin, Texas.

On Wednesday, another 11 Aussie acts were added to the SXSW bill as part of a second massive lineup announcement.

Headlining the list of Aussies in the second announcement are Sydney’s Boy & Bear, kicking on from their hugely successful sophomore release Harlequin Dream.

Also joining the mid-March festival are The Growl (featuring Cam Avery of Tame Impala) fresh off a national tour and supporting the current Kings Of Leon Down Under visit, singer-songwriter Gossling, The Delta Riggs at their debut album Hex Love Killer, thrash metal band King Parrot and international live street performer Dub Fx.

Part of the of the first 180-act announcement from mid-October was upcoming Melbourne singer-songwriter Vance Joy, who has gathered a massive following for his debut EP God Loves You When You’re Dancing; selling out a couple of national tours and claiming two ARIA awards last week- Breakthrough Independent Artist and Best Independent Single/EP.
