David Bowie’s Love is Lost Video Cost Nearly Nothing to Make

The creepy video for David Bowie’s ‘Love is Lost’ video cost just £8 ($12) to make.

The low-budget video for the track, produced by LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy who is seemingly omnipresent these days, sees the music icon’s face being projected onto a mannequin, which leads to the terrifying image below. Seriously, this shit is going to haunt us for weeks.

It’s fitting that this video, which was first revealed at last night’s Mercury Music Price awards, should surface on Halloween, as it’s more unsettling than the majority of the horror films you’ll likely watch tonight.

It also sees the return of a character who will be familiar to fans of 80s Bowie, albeit in a much more lifeless form.
