Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Shares its Impressive Opening Cinematic

The opening cinematic for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII has finally debuted, and unsurprisingly it has fantastic production qualities. Lightning can be seen kicking butt, and some of the game’s character cast (Serah and Snow) makes an appearance.

It’s easy to write off this third release in the subseries, but Square Enix has taken feedback very seriously since the first Final Fantasy XIII. The world is being designed purposefully to make players want to explore all it has to offer, and gameplay has been further refined to make battles as engaging as possible. If nothing else, it’ll be a very, very flashy game.
