EA Shelves Medal of Honor for Titanfall and Star Wars: Battlefront

Have you been disappointed by Medal of Honor lately? EA has, and plans to replace it with two of its upcoming blockbusters.

While talking with CVG, EA Labels head Frank Gibeau stated that EA will be shelving Medal of Honor in the near future in order to pursue Titanfall and Star Wars: Battlefront. He said:

The shooter rotation we think about now is Battlefield, Titanfall and Battlefront, and so we like those three brands going forward. We’re working out how we’re going to line that up because that’s what you’ll see from us.

Medal of Honor has been in a slump lately. Its last release, Medal of Honor Warfighter, failed to sell well or net positive review scores. Meanwhile, many would argue that Titanfall and Star Wars: Battlefront are two of the most exciting upcoming games, not only from EA, but from any publisher.

Until a studio can find out a way to reinvigorate the Medal of Honor series, the once mighty blockbuster will have to hibernate.
