DICE has produced a trailer detailing Battlefield 4‘s new and improved Battlelog. The application, which is used to interact with other players and join games, has been streamlined for all platforms including smartphones and tablets.
The new Battlelog allows you to create and edit loadouts before joining multiplayer games, something which was incorporated following fan feedback. DICE has gone the extra mile with tablet support and allows for additional information to be displayed on the screen, such as a real-time game map. Squad leaders can even give commands from the touch screen interface. Similarly, a smartphone can be used to edit loadouts while in a game and browse your friends list.
Missions have also been added providing a fuel for bragging rights between friends. You can setup a tally for a certain statistic, such as headshots, and see who can gain more over time. On the same accord, geo-leaderboards have been integrated offering a way to see how you rank in a variety of statistics in your home country and worldwide.
