Slow Horses Season 6 is earning strong praise from critics ahead of its Apple TV premiere, with multiple reviews highlighting the latest season as one of the strongest seasons of the spy thriller so far. Critics have particularly praised its ability to maintain the qualities that have made the series successful.
Carly Lane of Collider praised the way Season 6 brings familiar characters back into the story. She wrote, “In fact, Season 6’s resurrection of past fan-favorites is one of the reasons it’s both thrilling and surprisingly comforting to watch.”
Lane continued, “Despite the overall premise putting our beloved Slow Horses in increased danger, there’s safety in numbers, and forcing all of them into close proximity allows for entertaining pairings that maintain the show’s pitch-perfect blend of comedy and drama.”
He also described the new season as “the biggest turning point” in the show’s story “because of what it intriguingly sets up for Slow Horses’ next chapter.” Malcolm McMillan of Tom’s Guide noted, “Fortunately, this show remains as excellent as ever, bringing back some familiar faces and killing some others.”
