Silo Season 3 finally reveals Orla Kent’s killer
Silo Season 3 Episode 8 finally unveils who killed Orla Kent. The long-running mystery reaches its resolution through Knox’s investigation into his father Gus. Ed from Supply emerges as the central figure behind the stolen materials and cover-ups.
Ed tells Paul, Hank, and Knox that Glenda identified Mike as Orla’s killer. Mike was Orla’s boyfriend at the time of her death. Hank and Paul promptly arrest Mike after Ed names him. The revelation connects directly to the supply theft storyline that has run through the season.
The investigation begins when Knox discovers his father Gus is actually alive. Ed had helped Gus fake his death in exchange for something valuable. Knox confronts Gus with a punch before bringing in Paul and Hank for questioning. Paul promises Gus immunity from repercussions if he cooperates with their investigation.
Gus then reveals that Ed approached him about turning a concept into reality. He drew the blueprint for a contraption but did not help build it. Paul, Hank, and Knox take the drawing to Carla for analysis. Carla expresses shock that Ed could have constructed whatever the blueprint depicted.
The group then heads to the construction section of Supply to search for the contraption. They discover a hidden door and a passage behind it. An indicator under Ed’s desk starts beeping when they find the secret entrance. Ed encounters Paul, Hank, and Knox inside a hidden elevator and appears shocked.
Ed claims he smuggled light bulbs from Critical Supply during the rebellion for protection. However, that explanation fails to account for Orla’s murder. Hank theorizes that Orla must have discovered Ed’s hidden contraption before her death. Paul later tells Kathleen that Orla caught Mike stealing from Supply, which motivated the killing.
