A woman attempted to escape in a red pickup truck in a hot pursuit by police after deputies received a report that she did not have any clothes on and had run over her mother and family dog. Footage of the car chase in Washington shows the driver swerving and nearly hitting other vehicles on the road before cops were able to force her to stop.

On July 17 at around 11:33 a.m., deputies responded to a domestic violence call where a mother said her 46-year-old daughter was naked when she assaulted her with a hand saw, according to a video released by the Police County Sheriff’s Office on its official Facebook page.
After the woman took her mother’s phone to stop her from calling the cops, the mother fled her house and used a neighbor’s phone instead. That’s when the woman entered the pickup truck and struck the mother and the family dog with it, only narrowly missing the neighbor.
Dashcam footage of the pursuit, which was recorded starting on 11:52 a.m., shows law enforcement locating the truck and the deputy chasing it as the vehicle dangerously weaves through traffic. At one point, the driver attempts to run over another deputy on the road, but he is able to dodge out of the way. The truck then crosses over the double yellow line and onto oncoming traffic.
Several seconds later, the vehicle is stopped with a PIT maneuver. Deputies were then able to surround the truck, pull the woman out of the driver’s seat, and arrest her on the ground.
The video reports that the female driver “was suffering from a mental health crisis” and has been charged for assault in the first degree, eluding, resulting arrest, and other outstanding warrants.
The mother sustained minor injuries and the dog was transported to an emergency vet clinic.
