Tehran producer Dana Eden died in a hotel room in Athens, Greece, where production on Season 4 was taking place. She was 52 years old at the time of her death. Her brother reportedly found her body after she failed to respond to messages, as per Hebrew media (via The Times of Israel).

Local authorities have reportedly ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of her death. They have also started collecting security camera footage and testimonies from hotel staff. However, Donna and Shula Productions, which Eden co-founded with Shula Spiegel, dismissed rumors that her demise was politically or criminally motivated. They shared in a statement, “The production company wants to make it clear that the rumors of the death being criminal or nationalistic are not true and baseless.”

Moreover, the company also urged media outlets “not to publish unfounded theories and to act with responsibility and sensitivity.” They added, “This is a moment of immense pain for the family, friends, and colleagues. We want to preserve Dana’s dignity and her privacy.”

Furthermore, the company also said that there was no evidence of foul play in her death.
