The Most Quotable ‘Peacemaker’ Lines Just in Time For HBO Max Release

James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad was undoubtedly one of the best superhero movies of the past year. Aside from being a wholly entertaining movie, the film serves as a biting commentary on colonialism. One of the standout characters from last year’s The Suicide Squad was undoubtedly Peacemaker. So naturally, the character that best exemplifies this in The Suicide Squad would be the first to receive a spinoff series. Played brilliantly by John Cena, the Peacemaker essentially asks: “what if Captain America was a dick?”

Although the character’s fake-out death in The Suicide Squad will probably require some heavy lifting on the part of Peacemaker, the series looks to be doubling down on this. Peacemaker loves peace, and he’s willing to do anything to achieve it. If anything, he is subtle and nuanced. He loves kicking ass and being an ass-kicker. He is partial to OnlyFans of peace.

If there’s one thing that’s true about the character of Peacemaker, it’s that he thinks he’s the smartest human alive. Of course, this is due to the character’s own insecurities, which are sure to be explored in the show. Anytime you cast Robert Patrick as the father of a character, you know they probably have psychological issues.

Regardless, the social media account for Peacemaker has been arguably the best part of the lead-up to the series’ January 13th debut. The account is run in the first person, meaning that we’ve gotten plenty of great one-liners from America’s favorite son. With the new series debuting on HBO Max this week, we figured it would be a great time to look back on some of Peacemaker’s most quotable lines.
