Sean Connery is James Bond again. Sorta.

Back in January, MI6 broke the story that the next James Bond title from EA Games will be “From Russia With Love,” based on the 1963 movie, the second in the Bond franchise. Now they’re reporting that not only will the image of Bond be based on the 1963 Sean Connery (game screencap to the right), but the voice will be done from an all new script by the now 75 year old Connery.

Most of you young people probably don’t realize how cool these movies were. Bond pretty much invented the whole ‘kill a guy and then say something cool’ thing. And he always tied an onion to his belt, which was the style at the time. And the movies only cost a nickel, which, back then, were called ‘bumblebees’, cause the Kaiser had stolen our word for nickel. “Give me five bees for a quarter,” you’d say. Now where were we … oh yeah. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones. And I needed a new heel for my shoe so I decided to take the ferry to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days…
