Irish Accents Add A Necessary Hilarity Factor To Bat Hunting In Your Kitchen

And here I always thought an Irish accent was supposed to make someone sound sexy, not comically inept.

While it may not be the most fresh video out there seeing as how it made its debut on the interwebs a little less than a month ago, this gem involving two Irish blokes and one dame frivolously attempting to shoo a bat from their kitchen somehow slipped past our radar. Sorry, sonar. That’s what bats use to get around, right?

Anyways, that’s neither here nor there. What matters is that this Irish family really sucks at ridding their home of flying rodents. But that won’t stop them from commentating all the livelong day as they attempt to do so.

Bat Hunting Only Gets Funnier When Irish Accents Are Involved

What was that guy really gonna do with a dish towel? For that matter, how was upgrading to a blanket (sorry, a “bigger towel” as the man recording put it) going to rectify the situation? Haven’t these people ever seen Black Sheep? Even they had the good sense to use some sort of container.

The only thing that would have made this entire scenario more comical would have been if someone slipped in the dog urine at some point. But I guess we’ll have to settle for the bowl of chocolate pudding that was no doubt left in poor Marie’s underpants. (At least we think that’s what he called her. Maudine, maybe?)

We’re not the only ones who caught the hypocrisy of making fun of someone for hiding behind a door WHILE hiding behind another door, are we? And while we’re on the subject of the pot calling the kettle black, what was that McGregor crack all about?
