Xbox One X Revealed: Release Date, Price, Specs, Games and More

Microsoft officially unveiled its Xbox One X console, finally revealing the system formerly known as the Xbox One Scorpio.

The Xbox One X reveal kicked off Microsoft’s E3 2017 reveal, with the company debuting what they’re referring to as “the most powerful console ever.” The console, which will be released later this year, was showcased using a demo of the upcoming Forza Motorsport 7, which runs at a native 4K resolution and at 60 frames per second.

Take a look at all the information about the new console coming from the Xbox One E3 2017 event below:

Xbox One X Specs

The Xbox One X will pack the following into its small frame:

  • 6 teraflop GPU
  • 12GB of RAM
  • 326GB/s memory bandwidth
  • 8+ million pixels
  • HDR
  • Wide Color gamut
  • 4K HHB Blu-ray playback
  • Premium Dolby Atmos sound
  • Liquid-cooled Vapor Chamber

Xbox One X backwards compatibility

All existing Xbox One games and accessories will work on the Xbox One X, with the new console running old games in upscaled 4K, improving its 1080p output using superscaling.

Xbox One X size

The Xbox One X is the “smallest Xbox One ever,” with it being smaller than both the original Xbox One and the Xbox One S. It looks very similar to the Xbox One S, though loses the ventilation atop the system and features a larger rear that allows it to pack more of a punch than its predecessor, despite being more portable.

Xbox One X release date

The Xbox One X will launch worldwide on November 7, 2017.
