Emerging Artist: Andrew Goldring’s ‘Cosmic Dance’ Is Rich, Introspective

Andrew Goldring is a talented, young singer-songwriter out of Utah who recently left the band scene to go solo. He continues off to a solid start with his new single “Cosmic Dance.”

The indie rocker has been compared to the likes of Ryan Adams, David Bazan and Andy Shauf. But what makes “Cosmic Dance” unique are the introspective lyrics and and rich composition that includes Rhodes keys, fuzzy lead guitar and a catchy bass line to match Goldring’s vocals perfectly. It’s a relatively mournful song that also brings a delightful vibe which relates to the human soul which longs for purpose.

The entire track was engineered and produced by Goldring — not bad for a Salt Lake City kid.

Goldring released his last EP, Heritage, in June of 2016. The extended play was labeled as “the singer-songwriter sound we all know and love” by SLUG Magazine.

Josh Helmuth is an editor for Crave and a longtime music lover whose first record was Eric Clapton. However, his first concert? That choice he will take to the grave.
