The Beaverton Premieres November 9th On The Comedy Network

The Comedy Network recently announced that their new original satirical series The Beaverton will premiere on Wednesday November 9th at 10:30pm, conveniently debuting the night after the U.S. Presidential election and leading into The Daily Show.

Also revealed were the correspondents rounding out The Beaverton’s news team. Helmed by co-hosts Emma Hunter and Miguel Rivas, the 13-episode, half-hour satirical series features “hard-hitting” news reporter Aisha Alfa; resident provocateur Donavon Stinson; delightfully corrupt financial correspondent Laura Cilevitz; and sharp-tongued foreign correspondent, Marilla Wex.

“We’re thrilled to add The Beaverton to a formidable roster of some of TV’s most buzz-worthy satirical news programs, including Full Frontal and The Daily Show,” said Pat DiVittorio, Vice-President of Programming at CTV and Specialty. “With the incredibly sharp cast and creative team behind this series, we’re confident The Beaverton will become part of viewers’ Hump-Day rituals.”

The Beaverton has recruited some of the most talented Canadian comedians to provide a unique spin on headlines and newsmakers,” said Corrie Coe, Senior Vice-President of Independent Production at Bell Media. “Alongside our quick-witted co-anchors Emma and Miguel, THE BEAVERTON will deliver unapologetic satire about the world’s hottest topics. Sorry. Not sorry. With love, Canada.”
