YouPorn has shared a list of the most searched for female video game characters on the site, revealing which characters are the most popular with its viewers.
The data, compiled in “celebration” of National Video Game Day, highlights the growing popularity of video game porn parodies, revealing which female characters top the list when it comes to views. YouPorn’s VP of Marketing Brad Burns said that this growing interest was a result of “modern video games reaching near lifelike realism,” adding: “Somehow an 8-bit Princess Peach in the ’90s just didn’t seem as attractive as Tracer rendered in 64-bit 3D.”
But while Tracer does rank highly on the list, coming in at second place ahead of other Overwatch characters such as Mei, D.Va and Widowmaker, these new video game stars still couldn’t surpass Tomb Raider‘s Lara Croft, who is the most searched for female video game character by a considerable margin. The likes of Final Fantasy VII‘s Tifa Lockhart, Princess Peach, Mortal Kombat‘s Kitana and even Pokemon Go‘s Blanche also make an appearance on the list.
The big presence of Overwatch characters on the list isn’t surprising when you consider that porn searches for the game shot up by 817% on Pornhub back in May after Blizzard released the game’s beta. Overwatch porn has since attracted a pretty sizable following, with fan-made videos filling the internet while the game’s creators desperately tried to prevent their characters being sullied by horny video-makers. Unfortunately for them, the sheer wealth of Overwatch porn has made doing so an impossible task.
Unfortunately, YouPorn didn’t offer a male equivalent of the list, though we’re going to throw our hat in the ring and wager that Genji would be pretty far up there.
