Suicide Squad‘s 5th August release date is edging closer and closer, and for the most par,t we’re struggling to contain our excitement and curiosity. Of course, it doesn’t help with all the recent trailers, but this new one, my friends, is going to get your palms sweaty.
Previous Suicide Squad trailers have centered more on the anti-heroes of the film, featuring only a few moments of Jared Leto‘s Joker – a maniacal laugh here, a sinister smile here. Well, the film’s new extended trailer (below) takes us up close and personal to the sociopath himself. Like, close enough to read his various facial tattoos, and it’s bloody freaky.
The Thirty Seconds To Mars frontman absolutely nails the iconic megalomanic right down to the soulless gleam in his eyes. However it’s the final shot, from a distance, that is easily the most chilling.
On top of that, the new trailer features a hefty dose of Batman action shots, and more of a peek into the dynamic between the rag-tag, assembled team of anti-heroes.
Leto and his Joker have been the talk of the town in recent months given just how committed he was to the role, never introducing himself to his cast members out of character and sending a cacophony of creepy AF shit to them.
