The View’s Alyssa Farah Griffin Says MAGA’s End Has Begun

Alyssa Farah Griffin believes the 2026 midterm results could mark a turning point for the Republican Party. “The View” co-host described Democrats’ major gains as a rejection of President Donald Trump and his policies. She also suggested the results could signal the beginning of the end of the MAGA movement.

During Wednesday’s episode of “The View”, Griffin reacted to Democrats winning control of both the House and Senate. The party also secured victories in traditionally Republican states, including Texas and Ohio.

Griffin called the results “a total and complete repudiation of Donald Trump’s presidency and his policies.” She added, “I want to say this is the beginning of the end of the MAGA movement.”

The former Trump administration official said she had waited for “this fever to break” within her party. She argued that Republican policies had helped “alienate the broadest swaths of the country.”

“As a resistance Republican who’s been waiting for this moment, I’m so excited for what the future could hold,” she said.

Griffin also criticized tariffs, the war in Iran and immigration enforcement by ICE. She argued that tariffs had increased costs for Americans and called the war “a disaster.” The co-host also described ICE tactics as “inhumane and against my values.”

Turning to potential Republican presidential candidates, Griffin addressed Vice President JD Vance, saying, “Your 2028 shots just went down the toilet.”

She also predicted that Marco Rubio would face a “real rough” path to the Republican presidential nomination.

Griffin argued that the midterm losses could push Republicans to reconsider the MAGA movement’s influence. However, the party’s direction ahead of the 2028 presidential election remains uncertain.
