Next Gen NYC star Gia Giudice has hinted at a possible engagement after taking a major step in her relationship. The reality star revealed that her longtime boyfriend, Christian Carmichael, is moving into her apartment.
Gia Giudice discusses marriage after their big move
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Gia hinted at a possible engagement while discussing her decision to move in with her boyfriend. She said, “I would assume I could probably see my ring coming closer than not. This is the next step, to move in with each other, and I would assume my ring will follow.”
This month, the couple took another step in their relationship as Carmichael prepared to move into Gia’s Jersey City apartment. They first met at the Jersey Shore in 2019. He has supported her since her days at Rutgers University and through the ups and downs of life after graduation.
She said, “We always knew after I had moved out [of my family’s Montville home] that after completing my one-year lease, the next step would be for us to move in with each other.”
She explained that they had been looking for apartments in Manhattan but ultimately decided to stay in Jersey City.
The Next Gen NYC star explained their decision, saying, “[My restaurant] Il Vero opening [and] his transition into a new job, there was lots happening, so we decided to just stay put in my apartment for right now. He’s making his way in this week. So I’ve been doing many closet cleanouts and just trying to make as much room for him as possible. But we’re so excited. We can’t wait.”
She revealed that distance had caused problems in their relationship and hoped living together would bring them closer.
Carmichael has a business background, while Gia grew up in the spotlight on The Real Housewives of New Jersey alongside her mother, Teresa Giudice, and sister, Milania Giudice.
She said, “He supports me with everything and anything. You guys will definitely be seeing him a lot in season 3 of Next Gen. He loves everyone that I film with. He has a lot of fun doing it. I think it’s just certain scenarios that obviously get under anybody’s skin, but everything just comes with time and adjustment.”
Gia’s remarks offered insight into the couple’s future together, including the possibility of an engagement.
