Donald Trump‘s former White House press secretary, Katie Zacharia, chose an unusual Halloween costume by dressing as herself.
Zacharia, who served as White House press secretary for just five days, shared photos of her outfit on Instagram on Sunday, November 1. The post followed criticism over her suggestion that fans recreate her signature professional look.

Zacharia recreated her former White House look with a navy blazer, matching pencil skirt, and high heels. She styled her blonde hair in loose waves and posed for a photograph beside her two dogs.
She also incorporated a media-themed joke into the picture.
She held a sign reading “Paw-Litico,” while one of her dogs wore a poster reading “Woofington Post.”
“OG PressSec outfit + unusually friendly media!” Zacharia wrote on Instagram, adding a Halloween greeting.
However, her costume idea had already attracted attention before she shared the photos.
Ahead of Halloween, she posted a “Fit Check” on X , offering suggestions for anyone interested in dressing like her.
She detailed an outfit worth approximately $2,500, including a Veronica Beard blazer and skirt, Christian Louboutin stilettos and a Nordstrom blouse.
She also mentioned her clothing size and claimed she did not use hair extensions or dye.
Her suggestions sparked criticism from social media users who questioned why anyone would want to imitate her appearance.
Several commenters also mocked her short White House tenure, arguing that she had not held the position long enough to become a recognizable Halloween character.
The backlash also referenced her departure as White House press secretary in October.
Trump reportedly dismissed her on October 16, after she served just five days as White House press secretary.
As per OK! she replaced Karoline Leavitt, who served from January 2025 until August 2026 before leaving to spend more time with her children.
Despite the criticism, she went ahead with her Halloween look and used her dogs to add a humorous twist to her former role.
