Savannah Chrisley’s Husband Seemingly Wants $2M Meant for Fraud Victims

Jason Galanis is known as a TV personality and Savannah Chrisley’s husband. However, he has recently been making headlines over a new legal controversy that has sparked widespread discussion in international media and on social media. Amid the ongoing drama, reports have now emerged that Chrisley’s husband seemingly wants $2 million intended for fraud victims.

Jason Galanis fights to reclaim victims’ money per court documents

Savannah Chrisley’s husband is fighting a legal battle to recover more than $2.17 million in funds seized by the government. Federal authorities had planned to distribute the money to victims of his massive fraud scheme.

According to court documents obtained by Page Six, the 56-year-old is appealing a judge’s decision to reject his request to recover the seized $2.17 million. The federal appeals court will hold a hearing on November 13. In an October 2025 court filing, Galanis’ lawyers argued that the government had “no legitimate interest” in holding the money and demanded that it return the funds to him.

Galanis’ lawyers also argued that no one had a valid claim to the money except their client, despite its original purpose of compensating his victims.

For context, legal action against Jason Galanis began around 2015–2016, when the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) uncovered his fraudulent schemes. Galanis pleaded guilty in federal court in January 2020, and the court sentenced him in September 2020. Reports say he carried out two major multimillion-dollar fraud schemes that cost investors nearly $80 million.

In March 2025, then-President Donald Trump commuted Jason Galanis’ prison sentence, leading to his release from prison and ending his legal obligation to make further restitution payments.

The latest case remains unresolved. However, it’s worth noting that Chrisley, who is pregnant with her first child, has stood by her husband on several occasions amid his ongoing legal battles.
