Stefon Diggs Pushes Back Against Male Assault Accuser

Trigger Warning: This article includes discussion of alleged sexual assault, with details.

Stefon Diggs continues to deny the sexual assault allegations brought against him by influencer Christopher Griffith. The Washington Commanders wide receiver rejected the claims in his latest court response. Diggs has also argued that he cannot be held liable for a social media post that he maintains contained no false statements.

According to TMZ, Diggs previously responded to Griffith on social media, writing, “Lying on my name because he got caught stealing.” Diggs filed a defamation lawsuit against Griffith, alleging that the influencer damaged his reputation by making false claims about him.

Griffith later responded with counterclaims, accusing Diggs of defamation. He alleged that Diggs defamed him through a social media post shared after the lawsuit was filed. In the post, Diggs wrote, “At the end when I prove this n**** a liar and a bitch ass n****, then what?”

The legal dispute stems from an alleged encounter at Diggs’ Maryland residence in May 2023. Griffith accused the football player of drugging him and making unwanted sexual advances during the visit. According to Griffith’s account, he and Diggs, along with others, went to a D.C. club before going to Diggs’ home, as previously reported.

Griffith also stated in a 2023 police report that Diggs gave him candy that he believed was “laced with drugs” without his knowledge. Those allegations have not been established as facts in court.

The legal dispute expanded in October 2024 when Griffith filed a separate claim against Darez Diggs, Stefon Diggs’ brother. He accused him of an alleged elevator attack intended to silence him.

On October 1, 2025, Diggs filed a libel lawsuit against Griffith, contesting the allegations against him. Griffith is now represented by Jake Lebowitz, while Diggs is seeking unspecified damages and attorneys’ fees.
