Another Kim Kardashian wedding may never make it to television. According to a new report, Kardashian has told her mother, Kris Jenner, that she wants to keep any future wedding private. The reported decision comes as her relationship with Lewis Hamilton grows more serious. After sharing her previous marriages with viewers, Kim reportedly has no plans to turn another wedding into a television event.
Kim Kardashian warns Kris Jenner of ‘no more televised weddings’ amid Lewis Hamilton romance, per source
A source told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice that Kardashian has privately told Jenner she does not want cameras covering another wedding.
According to the insider, Kim feels she has already shared enough of her relationships, marriages, and breakups with viewers. This time, she reportedly wants to enjoy her personal life without worrying about ratings or storylines.
Meanwhile, Jenner allegedly sees the potential business value of another Kardashian wedding. A previous report also claimed Kris saw major branding opportunities in Kim and Hamilton’s relationship.
Still, Kim appears to be taking a different approach to this romance. Early reports described her relationship with Hamilton as intentionally “low-key” and protected from unnecessary attention.
More recently, Kardashian avoided discussing Hamilton in detail on The Kardashians. She simply said she was “really, really happy”.
Marriage rumors have nevertheless followed the couple. In July, an insider even claimed Kardashian had started imagining a future wedding connected to the Formula 1 world. However, neither Kardashian nor Hamilton has announced an engagement.
Kim also knows what a televised wedding can bring. Her 2011 marriage to Kris Humphries became the two-part E! special Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event. She filed for divorce 72 days later.
Kardashian recently admitted that she had doubts before the ceremony but felt pressure to go ahead, partly because cameras were already involved.
That history adds context to the latest claim. Kim may still consider marriage in the future, but according to the report, she no longer wants to turn the occasion into another televised event.
