Taylor Sheridan is bringing The Last Cowboy back for another season, with the CMT sports documentary series set to return on November 6.
Season 7 will feature six episodes and once again follow elite riders as they compete across reining, cutting, and cow horse events on the road to Sheridan’s high-stakes Run for a Million competition.
Taylor Sheridan’s ‘The Last Cowboy’ returns with another fierce competition
This season will take the riders to Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch, where the competition features a $1 million prize purse.
According to Variety, several experienced competitors will return with unfinished business.
Andrea Fappani enters the season after becoming the first reiner to surpass $10 million in lifetime earnings, though one major title still remains out of his reach.
Kole Price will also return after fighting his way back into the Run for a Million competition. He previously won the championship in 2021 and hopes to reclaim the title.
Gabriel Borges returns after tying for fourth place during his previous appearance, while Gina Schumacher makes her third attempt after narrowly missing the win two years earlier. She enters the latest competition as a new mother.
The Last Cowboy Season 7 lineup also expands beyond reining.
Jordan Williams joins after winning the World’s Greatest Horseman title and prepares to test himself on one of the sport’s biggest stages.
Erin Taormino returns for her fifth Run for a Million appearance. She finished as reserve champion in 2024 but continues chasing a first-place finish.
The series will again focus on the preparation, pressure, and competition surrounding some of Western equine sports’ leading riders.
CMT will premiere Season 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on November 6. Viewers can watch each episode on CMT VOD the following day, while Paramount+ carries the first six seasons.
Sheridan serves as an executive producer alongside David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, and David Hutkin.
