Savannah Chrisley’s Fiancé Was Once Called ‘P*rn’s New King’

Savannah Chrisley’s engagement to Jason Galanis has attracted renewed scrutiny of his criminal history. Galanis’ estranged brother, Derek, has warned Chrisley that her relationship with Jason may face difficulties. Derek described the relationship as Jason’s “biggest con yet” and claimed that his brother had not changed.

Jason Galanis’ bizarre business history resurfaces

Derek spoke to Page Six after Savannah announced that she was engaged to Jason and expecting their first child. “It’s his biggest con yet,” Derek told the outlet. “This girl’s in for a rocky ride. He’s not a changed man, he’s the same dude he always was.”

Jason, previously dubbed “Porn’s New King,” received a 189-month prison sentence in September 2020 for his involvement in multiple securities fraud schemes.

Jason served time at a federal prison camp in Pensacola, Florida, alongside Savannah’s father, Todd Chrisley. Both men were later pardoned by President Donald Trump.  Savannah has said that she met Jason through political connections.

The couple reportedly began dating in 2025 and became engaged in December of that year around five months into their relationship. Savannah recently announced her pregnancy. She has also acknowledged their 27-year age gap.

Jason previously had business ties to Hunter Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden. Jason told the House Oversight Committee in 2024 that he and Hunter were business partners between 2012 and 2015. Federal court records reveal Jason’s role in a $60 million fraud. Reportedly, the businessman sold fraudulent municipal bonds to the Wakpamni Lake Community of the Oglala Sioux Tribe.

Derek was also convicted of fraud connected to a securities conspiracy involving his brother and their father. He said that he last spoke to his brother Jason in 2016. Derek has since written “Greed and Fear: The Galanis Crime Family”, detailing the family’s history.

Following the public reaction to her pregnancy announcement, Savannah defended her unborn child in an Instagram Story. She wrote, “You are not a headline. You are not a controversy. You are not defined by anyone’s past, anyone’s mistakes, or anyone’s opinions.”
