Brittany Curran, who has appeared in The Magicians and Chicago Fire, was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on October 19. The arrest came four days after she reportedly attended a screening of her latest film, The Christmas Heartbeat. It marks the 36-year-old actress’s second reported arrest this year.

According to law enforcement sources who spoke to TMZ, Burbank police received a report about a suspicious person knocking on a resident’s door shortly before 2 a.m. on October 19. When officers arrived, they reportedly found Curran displaying signs of alcohol intoxication. Police reportedly asked the actress several times to return home because she lived nearby. When the actress refused, officers arrested her. Officers booked her into a local jail before citing and releasing her a few hours later.
This was not Brittany’s first arrest this year. Burbank police previously arrested her for public intoxication on February 13. However, authorities released her later that day without requiring bail.
Curran appeared in season 2 of Chicago Fire in 2013 and 2014 before returning for season 7. She also appeared in TNT’s Men of a Certain Age. The actress announced her engagement to music producer and composer James Ingram in 2020. He has worked with artists including Leona Lewis and Avril Lavigne. The couple began dating several years before their engagement. Ingram proposed to Curran at Château de Chambord in France in January 2020.
Speaking to People at the time, she said, “I just instantly knew. And I was like, ‘Yes!’ He then reached into his pocket, got on his knee, pulled out a Tiffany box, and said, ‘Will you marry me?'” “I was so excited, and he now tells me that I said, ‘Is that Tiffany’s?!’ before I said, ‘Yes,” she recalled.
