Sasha Farber has shared an update on Selma Blair after her recent arrest, saying he has been in touch with the actress. The professional dancer, who partnered with Blair on Dancing with the Stars in 2022, described her as family and said she was doing well.

According to PEOPLE, Farber spoke about Blair while attending the 2026 Dancers Against Cancer’s Gala of the Stars on Thursday, October 22. When asked whether he had spoken to her recently, he said, “I have been talking to Selma. She’s doing great and I’m thinking of her.”
Farber also spoke about the close bond they formed while competing together on Dancing with the Stars. “We are family. She is literally my family,” he said.
The dancer explained that he remains in contact with several of his former celebrity partners, adding that these relationships often continue long after their time on the show ends. He said the connections contestants form with their professional partners are an important part of the competition, describing the show as family-oriented.
Blair was arrested earlier this month following an alleged altercation with crew members aboard a Delta Air Lines flight on October 11. She was taken to a hospital after the incident and appeared in court the following day, where she pleaded not guilty to two counts of second-degree assault. She was later released on bail.
Following the arrest, Blair’s representative said the actress had experienced a medical emergency during the flight and stated that she did not intend to harm anyone. The representative also disputed some details that had circulated publicly about the incident.
