Kourtney Kardashian revealed how Kim Kardashian’s secret wedding sparked a four-week feud between the sisters. The fallout began after Kourtney told their mother, Kris Jenner, that Kim had married music producer Damon Thomas at 19.
The Poosh founder, 47, revisited the family drama while talking with her stepdaughter, Alabama Barker, 20. Alabama had stopped speaking to her brother, Landon, after a disagreement, prompting Kourtney to share her own experience.

On The Kardashians, Kourtney explained that friends told her about Kim’s 2000 Las Vegas wedding. She recalled Kim keeping the marriage secret from her family until the news reached Kris through an unexpected source. “My mom kept saying, ‘It’s so funny, the nail girl was saying, “Congratulations, your daughter got married,”’” Kourtney recalled, as per The Daily Mail. She eventually confirmed the news to Kris, which infuriated Kim. According to Kourtney, her younger sister responded, “You’re ruining my life!”
The sisters then went four weeks without speaking. Kourtney compared that experience with Alabama’s disagreement with Landon, showing how family conflicts can linger long after the original argument.
Kim married Thomas, then 29, in 2000. Their marriage lasted until 2004. She later described her unconventional wedding outfit on The Kardashians in 2025. “My first wedding, I wore leather capris with a leather halter top with no back and big Prada wedges. It was so cute,” she said.
Kim also recalled struggling financially during her divorce. She said Khloé Kardashian helped her secure an apartment by sharing savings from a childhood piggy bank. The sisters counted the $6,000 together overnight. Kim used the money for her down payment and first and last months’ rent.
The Kourtney-Kim feud has played out publicly over the years. In 2018, Kim called Kourtney “the least interesting to look at” during a dispute over scheduling. Their tension escalated again in 2020, when the sisters got physical during an argument about Kourtney’s work ethic.
