Russell Brand’s Accuser Gives Court Testimony About Alleged Assault as Trial Continues

New testimony has emerged against Russell Brand as his sexual assault trial continues at Southwark Crown Court. During proceedings, an alleged victim recalled an encounter with Brand in 2009 and told police that she felt “like a piece of meat” after the alleged assault.

Russell Brand is accused of treating a fan “like a piece of meat”

The woman explained that she first met Brand after his stand-up performance at Hammersmith Apollo. ITV reported that she told the court their initial experiences, including a sexual encounter backstage, were consensual. She had also agreed to visit his Hampstead home expecting to have sex.

However, she alleged that the encounter later became non-consensual after Brand removed a condom and began having anal sex with her without her consent. She said she repeatedly pleaded, “Can you stop, can you stop, can you stop?”

She also recalled feeling uncomfortable before they had sex. “He told me to brush my teeth. We went into the bedroom and went on the bed. We kissed and started having normal penetrative sex after some foreplay,” she said. She added, “I don’t think I enjoyed it, not because I didn’t feel I had consented to it.”

According to her account, Brand subsequently told her to “clear up the mess that you’ve made” before turning on the television and taking a phone call. The woman also alleged that Brand continued to text her despite her discouraging him from doing so. When she asked, “Why are you even messaging me?”, she said he replied, “Because you are dirty and I want to push you further.”

She said she responded, “I think you’ve pushed me far enough. You treated me like an animal.” Brand allegedly replied, “I’m sorry.”

Explaining the alleged encounter’s lasting impact, she told police: “His response was horrible – the second one, I feel how I felt at his house was that I felt completely degraded and like I’d been treated like an animal, like a piece of meat.”

Brand is facing seven charges involving six women, including three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault and one count of indecent assault. The alleged offenses date from 1999 to 2009. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
