Captain Kerry Admits His Personal Life Is Just as Messy as Below Deck Drama

Captain Kerry is known for his appearances on Bravo’s hit franchise Below Deck. While viewers may find his life as a captain fascinating, he has admitted that his personal life is just as messy as the drama on Below Deck.

The Below Deck captain opens up about his turbulent personal life

During a pre-season interview for Below Deck Season 13, the prominent Australian yacht captain spoke with a Bravo TV insider. During the conversation, Captain Kerry opened up about his turbulent personal life.

Captain Kerry said, “I don’t know about my crew, but my personal life is as turbulent as the seas. It’s just part of the job, and the big thing is having some compassion and patience for your crew. And if that turbulence overflows to work too much, then they need to go home and calm their own seas.”

Captain Kerry, who grew up in the Australian Outback, also revealed a more personal side during the interview.

“The biggest misconception on Below Deck is that there’s a hidden crew behind us that does all the work. I can guarantee you there’s only one of me,” he said. Titheradge also discussed his connection with the crew and explained that he pays close attention to their emotional well-being and nervous systems.

Captain Kerry joined the Below Deck franchise with Below Deck Adventure Season 1, which premiered in November 2022. He now serves as the captain of the flagship series. Titheradge later replaced veteran Captain Lee for Season 11 of the flagship series, which premiered on February 5, 2024.

As for Season 13, it premiered on Bravo on October 12, 2026. The season was filmed in Phuket, Thailand, where the crew works aboard the luxury yacht Azul V.
