Delta is speaking out after Selma Blair allegedly became involved in a disruptive incident aboard one of its flights. The airline issued a firm response after reports claimed the actress punched and bit crew members during the trip. Now, Delta is stressing its zero-tolerance policy as authorities continue looking into what happened on the flight.
Delta issued a firm statement following allegations that Selma Blair bit and punched crew members
According to Page Six, Delta addressed the incident after Selma Blair allegedly assaulted two flight attendants aboard Flight 938 from Los Angeles to New York on Oct. 11.
The airline said it has zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior. Delta also emphasized that protecting its customers and employees remains its priority. The carrier confirmed that law enforcement met the aircraft after it landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Reports claim Blair allegedly punched one flight attendant and bit another during the confrontation. One crew member reportedly suffered injuries serious enough to require hospital treatment. However, Delta reportedly said it had no record of Blair attempting to open an aircraft door. Earlier reports had alleged that she did.
The latest statement follows Blair’s reported arrest after the flight. The FBI is investigating the alleged in-air confrontation.
Meanwhile, Blair’s representative has provided additional context. The rep said the actress experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged behavior and received medical attention after landing. They added that she was in stable condition.
Authorities also accused Blair of separate conduct after she left the aircraft. According to reports, she allegedly kicked a Port Authority police officer while being transported and later assaulted a nurse at the hospital. She subsequently faced state assault charges. Federal authorities also became involved in the case.
For Delta, however, the response remains focused on its employees and passengers. Its statement makes clear that the airline intends to enforce its zero-tolerance approach when alleged disruptive behavior threatens safety aboard a flight.
