Dolly Parton’s Nephew Fires Back in Bitter Legal Dispute

Dolly Parton‘s death has left her family grieving while a legal dispute involving her inner circle continues. Her nephew, Bryan Seaver, is now pushing back against allegations surrounding his dismissal from the singer’s security team. His lawyers argue that the account has unfairly portrayed their client during a painful period.

Bryan Seaver’s lawyers challenge the account presented in the dispute involving Dolly Parton’s business manager

Seaver’s attorneys criticized the handling of the dispute in a statement to Page Six. They said he had been a private person before becoming involved in the family’s public loss. “He was chosen by his aunt, with his family’s approval, to make the announcement about Dolly’s passing,” they explained.

The lawyers said Seaver would have preferred to remain out of the spotlight. They argue that dispute had taken a toll on his grieving family. “While the family was grieving, the business manager went to Court and the media with a surprising and incomplete story,” the statement continued.

The attorneys also questioned the presentation of Dolly Parton text messages cited in the legal proceedings. They described the messages as “misleading and taken out of context.” They said the situation had been “very hurtful” to Seaver and his relatives.

The dispute involves Danny Nozell, Parton’s longtime business manager, and Seaver, who reportedly led her private security. Nozell and Parton’s estate entity, She’s Alive, LLC, sought a restraining order against Bryan Seaver after his dismissal. The filing alleged that Seaver sent threatening messages and intimidated staff members.

According to court documents, the message raised concerns about his references to weapons and his alleged capacity for violence. One message reportedly threatened to expose business dealings to Billboard Magazine. These remain allegations presented in the legal dispute, rather than findings established in court.

Seaver’s lawyers emphasized that the restraining order was granted “Ex Parte.” They said the court had not yet heard their client’s side of the story. The attorneys added that Seaver’s response was still forthcoming.

The lawyers said the family hoped to resolve the matter amicably and quickly. Seaver was scheduled to appear in court on October 20 after requesting a hearing delay. The dispute involving Dolly Parton’s estate continues as her loved ones navigate their loss and protect her legacy.
