Britney Spears recently stepped out with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline for a trip to Dollywood. The singer shared her experiences in an Instagram post where she wrote, “Wow wow!!! I didn’t know this place existed, so incredibly cool and exciting.” She later called it “ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!”
According to The Blast, the 44-year-old also shared a video of her enjoying a spinning ride. Fans took offense as the singer repeatedly used the F-word in front of children who were visiting the amusement park.
The debate over the appropriateness of her actions spilled into a Reddit thread where fans discussed Spears’s demeanour during her visit. One commenter wrote, “Just screaming ‘F*ck!’ repeatedly on a children’s ride. With kids around.”
The same Reddit user added, “Clueless and classless as usual. This isn’t some wild rollercoaster that rips your teeth out of your head; it’s a bog-standard spinning ride for kids.” A third user criticized Spears for attempting to hide her identity during the visit. They said, “She puts a mask on to disguise herself then makes an absolute spectacle of herself and draws attention. She’s so disgusting swearing and yelling at a place with so many kids.”
One user simply said, “This video makes me sad and uncomfortable,” while another described the profanity on a ride with children present as “the epitome of trash bag.”
The criticism leveled against Spears was mainly for using inappropriate language, not for her choice of venue. The amusement park, founded by the recently deceased Dolly Parton, has been pegged as appropriate for both children and adults.
The Dollywood incident comes at the back of the singer’s erratic activities in recent times. Incidents involving Spears include a bizarre freeway video in which she was seen jutting her torso out of an SUV while it was moving.
