Howard Stern’s former assistant is refusing to let her legal fight over confidentiality agreements end quietly. Leslie Kuhn has made another move after a judge dismissed her lawsuit against Stern, his wife Beth, and their companies. She maintains that she never agreed to the disputed documents. Kuhn filed an appeal on Sept. 9, according to court documents obtained by Page Six. She wants a New York appeals court to reverse the July 29 ruling that ended her lawsuit. Kuhn argues that the 2022 confidentiality agreement and 2025 NDA should have no legal force. She wants the freedom to discuss her time working for the Sterns.
Kuhn also claims she has “credible evidence” that challenges Stern’s version of events. She previously alleged that One Twelve, Stern’s production company, created the disputed agreements in her name. A judge rejected that argument and described her assertion that someone hacked her email as a “bald assertion.” The court cited an email from Kuhn’s account that read, “Signed NDA attached,” along with an electronic signature.
Kuhn first sued in April and asked the court to declare both agreements unenforceable. She said the documents prevented her from discussing what she described as a toxic workplace while working for the Sterns. Kuhn also alleged that Howard’s company promised her a raise to $265,000 and an $80,000 bonus for the following year.
She said the Sterns fired her while she was under “immense pressures” due to household and animal rescue activities. Stern’s attorney, Andrew Mark Goldsmith, has denied her allegations. He called her claims about a fabricated NDA “frivolous,” while Kuhn continues to challenge the agreements through her appeal.
