Howard Stern‘s attorney, Andrew Mark Goldsmith, is pushing back hard against his former executive assistant’s latest legal move. He called Leslie Kuhn‘s hostile work environment lawsuit a baseless effort to extract money, in a newly obtained private email. Goldsmith also called her claims regarding her non-disclosure agreement “frivolous.”
Howard Stern’s attorney argues the confidentiality dispute should already be settled
Stern’s lawyer, Andrew Mark Goldsmith, fired back at his client’s ex-assistant’s attempts to void her NDA in a July 24, 2026 email addressed to opposing counsel John Leonard. Page Six reported that in the email, he slammed Leslie Kuhn’s plan to file a second amended complaint.
Kuhn had alleged in the complaint that the non-disclosure agreements she signed during her employment under Howard and his wife, Beth Stern, were “fabricated.” Goldsmith further argued the move was unnecessary, as Howard had already agreed not to enforce the agreement against the ex-assistant.
“Mr. Stern has already unequivocally, unconditionally and irrevocably waived his right to enforce that agreement against Ms. Kuhn in publicly filed court documents,” he continued in the email. He also argued that there should be no room for ambiguity about where Stern stands.
“Given these binding waivers, the proposed second amended complaint is both futile and frivolous,” Goldsmith concluded. “Filing a motion for leave to amend would be vexatious, wasteful and a needless drain on judicial and party resources.”
Howard’s attorney further warned the opposing counsel that they “reserve the right to seek sanction,” if they proceeded with the complaint.
The private conversation came to light on Sunday. Leslie Kuhn’s attorney John Joseph Leonard submitted a screenshot of the alleged email from Stern’s lawyer in an exhibit he filed with the New York County Clerk.
Kuhn originally sued Stern and his wife, Beth Stern, in April this year. She accused the couple of fostering a hostile work environment. Kuhn also claimed they used fraudulent confidentiality agreements to keep her quiet after her February termination.
